What you'll be doing
As the Quality and Accreditation Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to drive accreditation, quality improvement and clinical risk management activities across Westmead Hospital. You will build strong partnerships with stakeholders to ensure quality standards are achieved, maintained and embedded into everyday practice.
- Lead the development, coordination and monitoring of accreditation programs, external reviews and quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategies that promote clinical governance, risk management and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Partner with Medical Heads of Departments, Service Managers and Nursing Unit Managers to strengthen service-level quality and safety practices.
- Support education, reporting, audit processes and quality improvement methodologies to enhance monitoring and performance outcomes.
- Provide leadership and coordination to the quality and accreditation team while acting as a key contact for safety and quality reviews.

Selection Criteria:
1. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing quality, safety and risk management program, including previous experience in managing and/or coordination of National and State based accreditation programs.
2. Knowledge of NSW Health patient safety and quality in health care policies and program.
3. Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of quality improvement projects using a range of Quality Improvement methodologies such as CPI and Six Sigma in a complex organisation and/or across multiple services.
4. Experience in managing accreditation/review processes such as EQuIP and National Standards incorporating multiple disciplines.
5. Well developed communication skills both written and verbal, including sound experience in the preparation of reports, briefs and educational materials.
6. Proven capacity to work with a diverse range of stakeholder groups to ensure the effective delivery of patient safety and quality objectives.
7. Advanced computing skills using a suite of software.
8. Experience with the management of staff/small project teams.
