The people are great, especially the ones that have been here for a long time, they are more than happy to take the time to explain the whats and whys, which makes my job much easier. We don't have many meetings. Upper management trusts you to do your job and get it done, they are there to guide and help if needed. No Micro Mgrs here... YAY.
Cons
the only con is, no meetings, which seems to hinder communication. Being a purchaser, dept of one, it would be a huge benefit to be included in discussions about future jobs and bids, especially big jobs that are coming up.
