Pros

If you are looking for a company that has a strong focus on innovation, technology and where can you have a real impact, take on challenges and speed up your career development, Baseline is a great fit for you. This is not for everyone though. Being in a fast paced environment means that you have to be autonomous and willing to get out of your comfort zone. Although we like to meet in person to have working sessions and workshops, you are usually free to work remotely as well. You will also be granted a lot of trust, responsibilities and flexibility from the beginning but this is a double edged sword. If you try to abuse or do not have the maturity required for such an environment, you will have a hard time with us. People working at Baseline are very competent, friendly and willing to help each other. We have great, yet demanding customers and are working on very cool projects.

Cons

I have been working for Baseline since the early days and, throughout the years, we have been through a lot of changes and had to make several pivots to fix our business model and get to where we are now. Those changes were sometimes chaotic and we did not do a good job at communicating them properly. Reading through the post of former employees, I understand their feelings and disappointment. I had my fair share of frustrations over the years too and thought of quitting a few times too! But I am glad I did not... The management team has done several mistakes (who has not?) but we constantly try to learn from them to improve to avoid repeating them. Our fast paced environment coupled with improper communication can be perceived as a lack of focus and planning by some people but we have been working hard on improving those processes in 2018 and we are in a much better position now than ever before.
