I was hired on as an assistant for purchasing as the person previously doing it had a large workload and had a big backlog. I was also told that I would be taught and take up some of the accounts payable activities after the backlog had been cleard. After, moving my family 2 hours away for the position, working on purchasing for 4 months and getting them caught up, and with a baby 2 months away from being born, I was laid off. If you're considering working for Bay Cast, just be aware that you will be viewed as entirely expendable and that the owner 100% does not care about you or your well-being.
