Pros

- The people. Passionate, smart, kind, progressive. Lots of different backgrounds and perspectives. - Great client mix… causes, candidates, humanitarian response. Opportunity to work at large scale. Get results. - Solid benefits like unlimited time off, professional development fund, parental leave. - Opportunity to learn from the best.

Cons

- Wish we got together more often in person (when we do, it’s the best). - Wish there was more representation in senior leadership (there is at other levels). - Wish there was more time to innovate more consistently across clients.

Pros

Blue State London is a fulfilling place to do work. The commitment to doing good extends from the client roster (top global NGOs, as well as some interesting niche clients) to a genuine commitment to inclusion & equity. The benefits are pretty solid for the agency sector (unlimited leave, with lots of company holidays in the diary already; generous parental leave; generous pension contributions.) It’s a small team and there’s a genuine invitation to everyone to shape the business, culture and operations of the office. Most of all, you will work with some seriously smart people who will challenge and teach you every day.

Cons

Working with those smart people can be daunting sometimes! It’s a high performing environment so it’s suited to those who want to learn and be challenged. And progression can be hard won in that context. Agency environments always mean putting a shift in, mucking in, and being comfortable switching gears (multiple times a day, in most roles.)
