Pros

BoardSource has the best staff I've had the privilege to work with. The culture of BoardSource is one where each employee feels supported, feels challenged, and feels like they are part of the bigger mission of BoardSource. Even after being gone from BoardSource for several years, I'm still in touch with many of my co-workers, some who are still there and others who are no longer there. It's a great place to work.

Cons

Because it's a smaller organization, it's more difficult to move up the ladder. However, I always felt challenged with new opportunities within my role and supported when I proposed new ideas.

Pros

The culture here is awesome, everyone is so caring, kind, supportive, respectful, and fun. Supervisors actually care about you and your career (meaning your personal and professional development). The organization actively assesses the culture and ways to maintain and improve it.

Cons

Small organization, so not as much room to grow or work your way up. Nonprofit salaries.

Pros

Great organizational culture. Ability to stretch, learn, and assume responsibility. Organization continues to adapt to remain relevant and meet market demands.

Cons

Small organization with a large footprint. Would love to truly meet the needs of the entire sector.
