Pros
- The work I did at BG set me up for success in every role I had after. I technically left BG as an Account Executive and returned several years later as an Account Manager. The processes, attention to detail, organization, and account management learned at BG are better than in any company I've been with. - You get to work with a range of clients. You'll work with startups that have not yet come out of stealth, to major companies like Google and LinkedIn. - Really nice benefits with a monthly cell phone and health stipends, office supplies, etc. - Flexible work hours....with the caveat that this is an agency. - BG observes a lot of holidays - it is very nice to have a Friday or Monday off every month or so. They also give everyone the week off between Christmas and New Year which is a nice reset every year. - There is less of a "big dog/little dog" feeling. ACs, AEs, and AMs are definitely responsible for the client work and day-to-day, but upper management/leadership often jump in for emergencies/ are the ones to volunteer to be on call after hours/holidays. - Most of the team was remote before COVID so they do a good job of virtual team meetings/parties/slacks to make it feel like you aren't on an island.
Cons
- PR in general can be grueling and clients really lean on you for direction/great results - Clients in different timezones can make it hard to predict when your day starts and begins in client work. Most clients are aware of your timezone though, so this is less of an issue once boundaries are set.
