      Pros

      Exposure to transportation-related projects and components e.g. roadways, bridges, tunnels. Work with knowledgeable, skilled, dedicated coworkers. Get to travel. Compensation for technicians near the top of industry.

      Cons

      Travel might be burdensome depending on your circumstances. Relocation to service projects is always on the table. Having many projects and responsibilities at once can be a big challenge. Off the clock hours are significant.
