      Pros

      Great organization to work for! A community of trust, learning and innovation is clearly fostered by the leadership team. A culture of feedback is echoed throughout the organization to ensure they are always striving for employees to feel supported.

      Cons

      Working for a passion driven organization like CA that deeply cares about the success of its students can sometimes be all consuming as an employee but Leadership works hard to support employees with an open door to feedback and takes action when needed.

      Pros

      Calgary Academy has so many supports for new and experienced teachers alike. They have some fabulous instructional designers and coaches, as well as a whole department just for researching ways to innovate the teaching and learning that occurs in our school. There are many opportunities for PD, which I appreciate. All you need to do is ask.

      Cons

      A partial con: Sometimes it can be almost overwhelming how many things are going on and how many ideas you can take and learn from, but I think that is also something I like about the school. You just need to pick and choose carefully, taking what works best for you.

      Pros

      Calgary Academy has been a positive and caring environment for students, parents and staff! The teachers and instructional coaches create well thought out engaging lessons to support the needs of students with LD's. They are constantly evolving and trying new technologies and supports to bring into the classroom. Students are highly connected to the teachers and the collaboration between teachers is superb!

      Cons

      As with all teaching positions, there can be long hours for prepping and extracurricular's, however staff is extremely receptive for when you may need additional support.
