Great local firm with many opportunities for growth
Pros
-The firm is growing rapidly and has a good reputation, especially among insurance clients. -There are many opportunities to learn and take on leadership roles. -The firm encourages growth and development of its employees. -Hours are more manageable than Big 4 and there's a lot of flexibility with when and how much OT you work. -There's more of a focus on getting work done than putting in hours. -There is a wide variety of clients. -You're able to work on large public companies through the BDO alliance which is unusual for small firms. -There is flexibility in working from home occasionally. -You're well taken care of by the firm during travel engagements. -Technology is kept current and replaced often.
Cons
The health insurance isn't the greatest, but it's a small company so that's understandable. The busy season is longer, on average, than other audit firms.
