great company to work for, even better brand to sell.

If you've ever been around an ownership transition, you know that these situations are not without their bumps. There can be cultural clashes, staff changes, and other challenges that take a while to overcome. I'm quite confident that the negative comments and reviews on Glassdoor are a reflection of this great challenge. It's understandable, though unfortunate, that some people feel compelled to be critical, and much of this criticism is misplaced, as the the decision to sell the company was made by prior management, with full knowledge of the inherent risks. However, I sincerely believe that most of the previously mentioned challenges have been overcome. I've been here since the beginning of the transition, and can genuinely say that it has been a fabulous place to learn, develop, and grow my career. Small, private companies are not for everyone--you have to be comfortable with ambiguity and perhaps a lack of career path certainty that larger companies offer. But the tradeoff, for me, has been well worth it--I have an opportunity to impact the trajectory of the company every single day. The scope of my role is whatever I make it, and I have the leeway to take on any issue I believe needs solving.
