      Amazing company to work for

      Pros

      I love my job, I love my team, and I love my company and all that it does to help people develop better eating habits and accompany them on their journeys to better health. For being a part-time employee, the benefits are AMAZING. The pay is above average, and the work environment is always comfortable, always progressive. My feedback is valued, and I plan to enjoy many more years with Carb Manager!

      After 3.5 years with this company, I can not think of one negative.

      Pros

      - The wonderful people that make up this company are talented, ambitious, invested, thoughtful, and ridiculously impressive at their jobs. - Everyone’s voice is heard. - Each employee is encouraged to give frequent feedback about the company. This feedback is carefully reviewed and considered by leadership. - The well-being of each employee is a priority for the company as evidenced by its generous health and wellness policies. - The company’s mission is something that every employee can be proud of. Working for an app that helps people be healthy is the best. - We all support each other! - The app is awesome, easily the best nutrition app out there. The company truly listens to its users and has created so many features based on their requests. - Management is great. Teams are collaborative. Everyone is encouraged to be a leader.

      There is not a single con I can think of. Carb Manager is an outstanding place to work.

      Enjoyable and Frustrating

      Pros

      * Carb Manager was the best, most enjoyable job I’ve ever had. * I very much enjoyed working with my direct managers * I loved working with the amazing content team * The company has an EXCELLENT team of content creators that produce exceptional content, of the highest quality. The content really elevates the app. * Trusted by my managers to do my job with little interference. * Good salary * Great health insurance and health perks

      Cons

      * Very clique-y company culture. Easy to feel like an outsider if you’re not part of the favored clan. * Has exceptionally high-value freelancers who are not valued enough. * Far too many meetings which involve a lot of talking in circles with no real resolution other than to schedule even more meetings. * Valuable and often just plain common sense ideas often overlooked or ignored. * Absolutely painful to get anything implemented technically. Even the most basic things needed to do my job properly hadn’t been implemented after 18 months of asking. * Goals posts moved constantly. From one week to the next plans and targets change. Nothing is implemented long enough or with enough thought to actually see results. If something doesn’t work immediately it gets scrapped. That’s if you’re lucky enough to even get an idea launched and off the ground in the first place. * Poor and inconsistent direction from the top
