- Everybody is friendly and make you feel comfortable - They train new hires to give them an overview of what it's gonna be like in the field - The pay is decent but really depends upon your previous experiences in mudlogging - They work out with you sometimes on schedule and the boss are really understanding - It's really a great entry-level job in the drilling industry especially if you're not married and don't have kids, you gonna be working as much as you'll want and make money, but more importantly practically learn and experience on a day to day basis some drilling operations - When a rig is down, you still stay on the rig and you're still getting paid

Cons

- You must spend over a month on a rig without seeing your family - You are on call pretty much all the time so you might be getting only a week of off time after having worked for an entire month and get back to a rig again. - They only pay up to 300 miles on your commute from/to the rig -When the rig you're working on is down, you gonna get bored of not working for sometimes up to couple of days.
