Pros
Plenty of work to be done. When you get hired on your salary is usually at or slightly higher than average.
Cons
Management will look for any and every reason to deny you raises and bonuses. Career advancement is almost impossible because of the restrictions/requirements that aren't even required for your position are placed on you. Can be a hostile environment depending on who you get as a manager. I know of 4 or 5 other developers that have either already left or are looking for another position and most of those people worked for the same manager as I did.

The yearly bonus was a nice way to finish the year
Cons
Expected to travel the US and work only 8 hours a day. Promotions are rare along with pay raises unless you are in management.
