Pros

I am a leader of a fiscally sponsored project housed at Community Partners (also known as an Executive Director, but without our own 501c3 status). We have received great support from Community Partners staff since their leadership shift in 2021, particularly in the past 12 months.

Cons

Since there was a change in senior leadership (new CEO), there has been a lot of transition of line staff, plus some shifts in policy and technology, which has been disruptive to our project. Some of the staff who were our biggest champions were recently forced out, as they were no longer allowed to work remotely. At the same time, some staff who have been there 20+ years who don't do much to actually support projects have been retained.

Flexibility but stagnant

Pros

Employees can opt into having every other Friday off. The new CEO's vision is rooted in social justice/ equity work. Work has been remote during COVID and will most likely be a hybrid schedule in 2023. Colleagues are generally kind and respectful.

Cons

Staff is overworked. Because of the high turnover rate, most departments are spread thin and project partners/ clients are not serviced well. The org gets daily complaints from partners that their emails/ calls aren't answered and of mistakes happening-- it feels embarrassing at times to work somewhere where the team is considered inadequate by clients. The work isn't very innovative/ isn't creative and is most times monotonous.

Pros

Hybrid working schedule and potential upgrades due to new ERP system.

Cons

Teams are overworked. Working on weekends, low pay, and constant negative feedback from clients/projects.
