Pros

Compass has been and continues to be the best job I’ve ever had. No non-profit is perfect, but Compass is filled with passionate, hard working people who care deeply about both their clients and their coworkers. I also believe the current senior leadership team is very interested in listening and learning. I’ve never worked for a place that invests so much time and energy into listening to employees and creating a positive culture.

Cons

There have been problems with leadership in the past due to some leaders showing hostility toward unionization. I believe this has improved greatly over the past year.

Pros

Compass is a great organization, with a very clear mission to support children and families experiencing homelessness. They provide comprehensive, wrap-around services. Compass is full of great people doing great work.

Cons

Given the nature of the work, there seems to be relatively high turnover. That prevents some challenges for remaining staffers.
