Pros

I had the opportunity to spend six months within the Business Development Representative role with Critical Mention and could not have had a better experience. To start, everyone from the people in charge to the lowest on the totem pole consists of the most pleasant and helpful coworkers I’ve had the chance to work with. Everyone has your best interest in mind and wants to see you succeed. Given the welcoming and driven culture, I found myself pushing to go above and beyond my role’s requirements day in and day out. Not once did I ever feel scared to ask questions or come to management for help. Like I said, everyone is extremely approachable and wants the best for you. Within the BDR position a lot of your day to day comes with team collaboration in regards to best practices and strategy conversation, coordination with the more experienced sales team members to execute proper and successful pitches, and of course, client prospecting and cold calling. What made the job so enjoyable was the capability and effectiveness of the product we are selling. In order to be a successful sales person, you have to have faith in the product…which was never an issue within Critical Mention. Although I spent my time with Critical Mention remotely, I still felt very close to all of my coworkers and management. The company culture is outstanding even on opposite sides of the country. I cannot imagine how great it must be in person. Some of you may be reading this wondering why, given how highly the writer of this is speaking on the role and company, is leaving this job. The answer to that question is due to another opportunity arising outside of sales that aligned more with my interests. If I were to stay in sales, I would never have thought twice about leaving this team. I’ve learned so much within my time as a BDR at Critical Mention and could not recommend this company more to someone looking to be in sales.
