Pros

Positive work/life balance when I'm off, I am completely off. The remote schedule let me relocate to better my life to a more affordable cost of living area. Everyone in the organization feels like we're working towards something groundbreaking and inspiring. Managers set achievable goals for all their team members.

Cons

Leadership can hold things close to the chest which can have a hand in making some employees feel unsure about job security.

We’re especially glad to hear that our remote-first environment has had a meaningful positive impact on your quality of life. We also appreciate your comments about the team and managers. Building an environment where people feel supported, challenged, and connected to meaningful work is incredibly important to us, particularly as we continue innovating in the FP&A and AI space. At the same time, we recognize your feedback regarding communication and uncertainty. In fast-moving growth environments, balancing transparency with evolving business decisions can be challenging, and we continue working to improve clarity and communication across the organization. Thank you again for your feedback and for being part of the journey.

A Remote Culture That Actually Works

Pros

Leadership is refreshingly open, and it creates this sense of “we’re all in it together” that you don’t find everywhere. I’m trusted to own meaningful work, and that autonomy makes the wins feel even better. The remote culture feels human and supportive, not isolating. Growth actually follows merit here, and it’s energizing to be part of a team building a product that truly delivers on its promises.

Cons

Because the culture leans heavily on autonomy, it may take a little self‑direction to thrive — but for me, that’s been more of a preference than a drawback.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and positive review. We’re truly glad to hear that our culture of openness, trust, and meaningful autonomy has resonated with you. Creating a remote environment that feels connected and supportive - not isolating - is something we’re very intentional about, and it’s wonderful to see that reflected in your experience. We also appreciate your note about self-direction. As a high-growth company that values ownership, we know autonomy works best when paired with strong communication and support, and we’re committed to maintaining that balance as we continue to scale. Thank you again for your feedback and for being such an important part of the Datarails team!
