Pros

Dext is a very exciting company to work for. There are lots of changes all the time which can be challenging but it gives good exposure to things like acquisitions, frequent product releases, competitors, price changes etc. Hard work is rewarded and there are plenty of opportunities to take part in projects / initiatives outside of your role description, in order to up-skill or progress to a more senior role. Generally speaking the customer base is really solid and the clients love the product, it's well known that the core product is the best in the business which makes tackling competitor objections quite easy.

Cons

Sometimes can be pulled in a lot of different directions which can main workload management a bit difficult.

Pros

-Some pretty impressive moves on the M & A front. Further solidifying the clear and ambitious vision to continue to disrupt an industry and remain competitive. This also increases upskilling and engagement, as team members get the opportunity to learn, implement and sell products with increased capabilities. -With the creation of the Director of Development & Diversity role, there have been positive moves in terms of diversity & inclusion, including company wide training, book and movie clubs and 'super power sessions'. Lots of work still to do, but the investment is certainly there. -A supportive environment where colleagues are always on hand to help and pitch in where necessary. Between all of us, someone will always know the answer, and someone is always willing to help. This goes for both colleagues on the ground and colleagues over seas. -A huge vote of confidence in the company off the back of the recent HG buy out. HG have a vast array of experience in Dext's particular industry so undoubtedly will be able to provide strong mentorship and strategic guidance where it matters. -There have been some excellent hires made from industry which has helped up 'level up' our internal training capabilities. -A very passionate partner/client base. Dext is a company that has genuinely changed thousands of people's lives and many customers have a very strong affinity towards. You only have to read a few of the Trust Pilot reviews to get a sense for how powerful the product is and the impact it has had on customers. -Opportunities are there for those who want to create them. There have been several instances of new roles being created for existing colleagues with a particular skill set. -SMT, both on a global and regional scale, are candid and transparent. Information and company updates are clearly communicated. -Dext have embraced the flexible way of working and are open to discussing individual working arrangements that are best suited to you. -Creativity is promoted. If you have a good idea, go for it. No matter what your position. Management are always interested in hearing about new initiatives and ways to better serve our customer and help grow the business. It's very rewarding to see ideas come to fruition and have an impact. -High performers are globally recognised and remunerated well. There are ongoing regional and global SPIFFs that give reps the platform to build their brand and to earn some extra cash. The SPIFFs will usually have a theme, Olympics, Formula 1, NBA etc.. for an added bit of fun. -Despite a challenging year of Covid, the company is back to all cylinders firing and lots of job openings for new talent to come into the business. Very exciting.

Cons

-Just like most fast growth companies, the targets are ambitious. You need to be willing to work hard and do what it takes to make it happen. If you're looking for an easy ride, where everything is handed to you on a plate, this might not be the place for you. -As Dext are a global business with many of the central functions managed from London, sometimes there may be a slight delay in getting things done as you need to wait for time zones to come online. Lots of great resources available to you overseas, but sometimes can slow you down when trying to work at pace. -Self-learning plays a huge part in your success at Dext, particularly if you are new to the accounting/SaaS industry. You need to be willing to put in the reading and education time to be able to fully comprehend the systems and clients that you are working with. -Despite being round for over a decade, there are many processes that are not as mature as they should be. There are two ways it can go; be a part of the improvement and change, or just let it lead to frustration.
