Pros

PLEASE DON'T GET DURR SYSTEMS CONFUSED WITH DURR ECOCLEAN (systems actually cares about their employees). Every coworker is amazing to work and they're always willing to help at anytime. That is really the only positive thing I can say

Cons

Let me start by saying I've never hated waking up and going to work until my last 8 months at ecoclean. Putting in my 2 weeks was my best experience here and that's just sad and is a poor reflection of how this company is. Management has no clue what they're doing. They just look at it from the outside and base decision making off that. Many great employees have left due to the lack of communication from management. If you work will hard you can get a whole 2% raise with a laughable bonus as well. I've never seen a company act so cheap when it comes to their employees. Aren't you supposed to motivate your employees to do better and want to work harder? Employees constantly quit and are never replaced, just so they can save money. Every few years they move to a different building, so don't ever think about moving close to work. This place was once a respectable and an enjoyable place to work. They share a building with a few other companies and even they notice the downfall of ecoclean.

Dürr Response

Thank you for your feedback. It seems you were quite content at Ecoclean “until your last 8 months”; which coincides with the time when we made some much needed organizational changes. We expected some negative reviews after these changes and are not surprised that some former employees are disappointed. However, we will continually strive towards improvement and growth for our company and the employees. Also, we don't share a building with other companies, we are part of the Dürr campus in Southfield. Best of luck to you and your new employer.

Second class citizens

Pros

The compensation was very good. Casual work environment. Most of the employees were very knowledgeable. Most of the managers were accessible.

Cons

This is a company that is definitely stuck in the past as far as the work environment. It is a German company, and Durr North America is treated like second class citizens. Many of the managers are previous engineers (and for the most part very good ones), but many of them can not communicate with other human beings (Hi Joe). The way they monitor your time is ridiculous, I used to spend time on the customer site for months working 50-60 hour weeks, but when I would ask to leave an hour early for a dentist or doctor appt, I was told I could as long as I made up the missed hour in the same week. They have flex time --- with no flex. Your pick the time you want to work (7-4, 8-5, 9-6) and once that time slot is chosen, that is what you work every day from that day on.

Pros

Organized Company. Don't look at reviews for Ecoclean - they are NOT a part of Durr anymore. Good benefits package. Great supervisor and they do try to look after their employees

Cons

Very little opportunity for advancement. Career paths are very narrow
