Pros
I currently work within Cipherbit, a hyper-focused cybersecurity and encryption company within Grupo Oesía, where I am responsible for go-to-market activities across the cybersecurity product portfolio.
What has impressed me most since joining — particularly coming from an acquired company — is the clarity of strategic direction. There is a well-defined five-year strategic plan, with clear focus on priority sectors such as defense and healthcare, and a crystal-clear ambition for international expansion.
The annual Management Day is something I had never experienced before: a four-day onsite executive session at the beginning of the year that aligns leadership across the group, reviews performance transparently, and sets direction for the year ahead. The dedication of time and resources to executive alignment is exceptional and demonstrates long-term commitment.
The “Road to Partner” program is another standout initiative. It offers a structured executive career path all the way to equity partner level, which creates a genuine sense of ownership and long-term alignment.
Work-life balance is genuinely respected. Summer hours in July and August (typically 8:00–14:00) are highly valued, and flexibility is embedded in the culture.
From a strategic perspective, I also see strong opportunity for international profiles. The company’s positioning in cybersecurity and encryption, combined with its focus on strategic sectors, provides a solid foundation for expansion beyond national borders.
Despite only being with the company for a relatively short time, I can clearly see long-term potential. It is exciting to be part of an organization experiencing visible growth while simultaneously investing in structure, leadership development, and strategic clarity.
Cons
As with many fast-growing organizations, some processes are still evolving. Continued investment in internal coordination and operational structure will help support the next phase of expansion.
