Pros
My peers and direct line managers were some of the most supportive people I met, in a remote environment we managed to make meaningful connections and friendships and help each other with our workload and issues
Cons
The training needs more structure along with studies being handed over after a longer training period. Workload and capacity are not balanced, studies are given too quickly and too liberally without thought of other commitments such as compliance, training and mentee/mentoring. If promoted internally less time is given to get training even if from a completely different department. Progression is competitive and not merit based. Being ready for next steps but being told you have to take on that roles responsibilities with out compensation on the chance you may then get the promotion in a competitive interview. Line managers have been seen to reject OT that others wouldn’t, meaning you end up giving up your evening for no pay. Internal awards are no longer given out by LM, up to peers to nominate you for hard work.
