Company is small and has a flat structure, so it's easy to step up and learn new skills and roles. There are always ways to be challenged. Using cutting-edge tech is fun. You don't work on the same product/tech every day for years (what I did previously) which is a huge plus. Work life balance is great.

I enjoy waking up and going to work in the morning. I don't know many people in my circle that can say that. The technology we work on is ground breaking. I mean, we were working on a mobile app plan for mobile GPS navigation like Waze before Waze took over the market. The team is truly like a family and we closely work together. There is no pyramid of managers over each department - the VPs work directly with all the engineers to make sure projects are 1). on the right track 2). on time and 3). we have the resources we need (not to mention they are truly experts in the software development world).. Due to our size we are able to move quickly on new and current projects without levels and levels of bureaucracy to go through. Oh, and we all eat lunch together in the break room! Come on, what software company in Austin has been in business for over 2 decades (nearly 3), is profitable and is focused on clients and customers instead of getting the next round of funding (or doing whatever it takes to go IPO). I'm here for the long haul and so is this company.
