      Pros

      I really enjoy working at Furuno because of the small, friendly office environment. It’s easy to collaborate, and everyone knows each other, which creates a strong sense of community.

      The building is very old.

      Pros

      Furuno is a Japanese traditional manufacturer of marine devices such as sonars, radars, and GPS plotters. Since first inventing sonar in the world, Furuno led this industry and has the lion's share in this market. Therefore, the salary is relatively high than others and there are few competitors because of the nitch business field. Marine technology is special, so Furuno has its own expertise to deal with that. (ex. how to get the certifications from official institutions in the world) Furuno probably continues its business safely in the near future. Many people are easy to talk to, and if there is power harassment, etc., it is dealt with solemnly.

      Cons

      Furuno is trying business in other fields, but the share and sales figures are small in comparison with the marine industry. Furuno's main field is marine and telecommunication, so you can not enjoy their work if you are interested in the ocean or that technology. Furuno adopts a seniority system, so you can not get a higher salary if you are young.
