Pros

Growth Opportunities: • I had the privilege of being the first hire in Customer Success, which gave me the incredible opportunity and freedom to build processes and strategies from the ground up. • I worked with major brands, managing a portfolio that included top Fortune 500 companies. • After returning from maternity leave in 2021, I was promoted to Team Manager, highlighting the company’s commitment to career growth and inclusivity. Culture: • The company fosters a strong problem-solving mindset, encouraging a hands-on approach to tackling challenges. • It is highly adaptive and quick to implement innovative solutions to address issues. • The management team is approachable, fostering an environment of open and direct communication.

Cons

This environment might not suit individuals who find it difficult to adapt to rapid changes in products, strategies, tools, and methodologies. While the fast-paced nature can be invigorating, it sometimes leads to frustration when management takes a "just make it work" approach without providing additional support.

Pros

I was an employee at Gemba for a long time. One morning, three guys came into our office and installed 10ft tall letters on a prominent wall that read: "MAKE THINGS HAPPEN." That message tells you what Gemba is about. The company values misfits, problem solvers, and people who take action. Big decisions are made quickly and are driven by big ideas. The company also strives to treat its people well. This is an excerpt from an email sent by the CEO to all employees a few weeks into the pandemic: “Whether you have worked here for ten years or ten minutes, no one will lose their job as a result of Covid-19.” This commitment was kept despite the difficult situation we were in because everyone pulled together, and new ground was broken. For me, Gemba was a place where I could always be myself and always do something new. I had an impact on some world firsts, I made some sharp, funny, and some downright peculiar friends, and I grew up. Best of luck to anyone joining Gemba. I hope you value and cherish your time here as I do. Bananas.

Cons

Not for those who prefer a predictable work environment with little change.
