Had a Great Time Here, But Most Didn't

Pros

I had a great time during the 28 months I worked here. I took this job just because I needed to pay my bills, but I didn't expect it to become sort of a career. I made a lot of money and was able to live a very comfortable lifestyle while working here. Even though bonuses aren't what they were, you can still earn a lot of money working here, especially if you're young and single. I'm a pretty reserved person, but I met dozens of cool people here, some of whom remained good friends even after they left. Our managers were for the most part, really fun people, especially when we were hitting goal. The work environment is very laid-back, joking, and friendly. It has a very fun culture and I actually used to look forward to coming into work every day! There were frequent monthly and annual raffles, along with a monthly catered lunch for the top performers and an annual company family/friends day at Stricker's Grove. I'm not sure if they still do this, but I saw raffle off Reds tickets, Bengals tickets, a PS5, and even a trip to Vegas! You get a ton of PTO and a 401(k) match. Due to the high turnover in collections, there are opportunities for promotion if you show the potential, although you may have to wait a little bit for you opportunity.

Cons

Even though I loved this place for a while, I wouldn't go back. There wasn't really anything in particular with GRC that I had an issue with, but the collections industry as a whole is quite stressful. If you don't hit 70% of goal for four months, you'll be let go. My nerves were frayed from the stress of the job after two years, so my numbers plummeted, and before getting fired, I quit (again, nothing to do with GRC, but collections is stressful.) Bonuses have gone down a lot. I used to hear stories of collectors frequently earning six figures, but it seems to be much harder to do these days.
