My position was brand new to the Library. Started in June. I have been welcomed and my ideas have been well received. So many employees have been working here for years (10, 15, 20, 25, 30 years) which shows employee's commitment to the organization.
Cons
I think there are some challenges with many employees adjusting to all the exciting changes that are happening with regards to the organization-wide reorg. for the Library. I am spending time with every employee individually to learn more about what is working and what is not working and learning more about their overall employee experience here at the library. Having this information will be valuable as we look to continue to create an environment in which all employees are successful and thrive.
