Schizophrenic, but great ideas.

Pros

Bright visionary president. Forward looking, generally. Company was generous when it was able to be. Makes all efforts to do right by its customers.

Cons

Opportunistic, often fits and starts in its program offerings, struggles to reinvent itself from financial market collapse that killed access to funds, credit, and the student loan industry - particularly consolidation loans - which the company originally launched into.

Pros

Co-workers were very intelligent and we all got along (for the most part). Culture amongst the "crew" was great.

Cons

Even before the CEO was arrested there was a sense of "greed" from ownership and a feeling that they just didn't care about their employees.

Pros

Small company, easy to get to know all other coworkers in the office and get a feel for how they operate. Easy to say that majority of workers are smart and there's plenty to learn. Some of the company ideas are very innovative and understandable.

Cons

Can't trust company, pretty much every promise which was made during my tenure was broken. No upward mobility. Lack or communication (would be understandable if company size was 5 to 10 times what it's current company size is). Layoffs seem to be common place and arrive without warning. Pay isn't great either.
