Pros

This is a great place to work. Management is truly supportive and really cares about the personal lives of their employees. Employees may be able to work an extremely flexible schedule from home, and there are no performance reviews because they trust you to get your work done. There's not a whole lot of PTO days, but what you do have you can use extremely flexibly, and they're very forgiving if you need to go into the negative for a little while.

Cons

Benefits are lacking. Health insurance is extremely basic, and in the 10+ years I've been here, I haven't gotten a significant raise except for the 3% each year for inflation.

Pros

This is a fairly small family-run company -- small enough that you know the owner on a first name basis, but not so small, that you can know every employee. I primarily work on-site at Goddard Space Flight Center, but when I do find myself at corporate headquarters, everybody remembers who I am, and I always walk away with a positive feeling.

Cons

About the only nitpick I can come up with is that we still have to fill out paper time sheets. If you forget to drop yours in the mailbox at the end of the pay period, you have to hoof it over to headquarters. Generally, this isn't a problem, though.
