HLX is a great med comm agency to work for, especially in such a competitive arena. They offer a fast-paced work environment, frequent company-paid travel to client events, an affordable benefits package and are generous with vacation and sick time. There are days when you do work after hours , but I personally find there to be a solid work-life balance. When you enjoy what you do and who you work with, answering a few emails after 5:00pm doesn't bother you. Very professional environment with mutual respect and understanding between superiors and employees. Definitely a team-oriented setting, but a good amount of independent work as well.

I was hired less than 2 months before the pandemic, worried I was going to lose my job, my team reassured me I was a valuable asset and was not going to be let go. Open communication on my team, comfortable atmosphere and fun people. My managers and colleagues always make sure to let me know when I'm doing a good job and are there for me if I need more explaining or am confused. The company as a whole has done AWESOME switching to a virtual work environment. We've grown and were able to hire more people and acquire new business opportunities. We often have company activities that we're able to get involved in (now virtual) such as virtual beer tastings, wine and sip paintings over Zoom, cooking classes, etc. I am really lucky to have landed such a great position with great people.
