Pros
Designs are in the most advanced technologies. An R&D attitude is necessary to hit state-of-the-art specifications but the silicon must be product compatible at the first tape-out. Plenty to learn.
Cons
Not really a Con but something to consider is that the workload is very challenging and quick learning is a requirement.

Pros
World-class mixed-signal engineering team. "Can-do" attitude is pervasive. Great learning environment for those with the courage to test themselves. Meaningful equity distribution. No VC's. Full focus on engineering execution.
Cons
Schedules and work load are very challenging. No VC's also means there is limited funding to focus on more lucrative IC product developments. Slow organic growth due to IP licensing business model.
