Pros

In Social is by far the best job I've ever had. And I usually don't leave GD reviews because it always feels weird to me, but seeing that a previous employee (who caused havoc and was let go less than a month into their probation period) left a bad review because they were mad, I had to come here to tell people to ignore it. If you aren't at In Social to do a good job and contribute to the team, you don't belong here. My co-workers on my team (The Digital Support Squad) are always there to support me, answer questions I might have, or jump into a chat if I'm in the middle of something else. Our team Manager is approachable, friendly, knows EVERYTHING and someone can get all their work done in a day - a superhero, seriously. I also work closely with the marketing team, even though I am not trained or have experience in marketing. I get included in reviewing marketing work so I can learn, and eventually decide where I want to grow within the agency. Most CS people pick a path within the company and then get trained and promoted onto the marketing team. The current marketing team is super supportive in helping us get there. The Managers and CEO can spot someone who's trying to scam their way through a job within an instant, so that's why people let go quickly. Unfortunately, the CEO tends to give people the benefit of the doubt longer than they should! At the end of the day, if you can't hack it with the high standards every one sets for themselves, then it's better you're not here. We're such a close team that we can really feel when someone isn't pulling their weight! Even though I'm on the CS team, I never feel like I can't talk to our CEO. She has open office hours and I can book an appointment (and have) to talk to her about anything I want. It's never intimidating or scary. Our other managers are also fun and hang out with us during team events, even if we don't work with them directly. Everyone's going to have their own opinion based on their experiences, but sometimes those experiences don't paint the whole picture. Maybe mine doesn't either, but at least it's from a different view.

Cons

There's so much to learn at first, because the company does so much, but we have lots of people to train you up and go over things again if you need it. It can also get very hectic with CS but that's typical of a job like this.

Pros

You can really feel that the team cares for you. They are really supportive and are willing to help work through unfamiliar things, and are really communicative with constructive feedback. The people are really nice, and respect and value your input a lot. Collaborations are fun and fulfilling. It's good practice with taking responsibility for your tasks.

Cons

Sometimes tight deadlines. Time management software can get a bit janky.

Pros

Although I've only been working here for the past month and a half, here is what I have to share from my personal experiences from the design and development team! This company is filled with supportive, caring, and friendly people. Everyone here is more than willing to lend a helping hand and provide guidance whenever needed. There is no shortage of strong collaboration and teamwork and it's easy to form strong relationships with my team members. I truly love everyone here:) In Social operates in a fast-paced environment where accountability and reliability is crucial. Everyone is expected to take ownership of their tasks, and this level of autonomy allows me to showcase my skills and makes every little success feel highly valued and rewarding. Jess, the CEO, is an exceptional leader who genuinely cares for her employees. She stands up for and advocates on behalf of her team, creating an empowering atmosphere. I am continuously amazed by how much care she puts in to build up my confidence and make me feel empowered. Her support and guidance was instrumental in my personal and professional growth.

Cons

The health benefits are a bit unclear and there's no HR department to go to for your personal and professional inquiries. It's not structured like a large-scale organization, and if the absence of HR or anything of the sort concerns you, then In Social may not be the best fit for you. When I first joined the team, I quickly came to discover that their internal web/dev processes were a bit outdated. This was alarming to me at first. I brought up my concerns to Jess and proposed a more up-to-date and team/user-friendly system. Having poor experiences in the past with previous employers, I was worried that my concerns would not be heard. However, when Jess heard my proposal, she was very open minded and accepting of the idea. It was quite refreshing to have the ability to collaborate closely with my CEO and to integrate a system that works best for our team, expand our knowledge in web services together, and to feel validated and heard as an employee.
