      Great ownership. They truly appreciate their employees. Hard work is rewarded with better pay, better benefits and employee appreciation (bonuses, gift cards, profit sharing, 401 with company match, safety has no budget mindset, etc.) over any other full size excavation company in the area. No other excavation company in NoVa/MD/DC has the capabilities of Independence Excellent so they hire the best available and reward excellence. The smartest people I have ever met work or have worked there, this includes the owners. You are not just a number at IX

      Cons

      'Work/life balance' can be an issue on occasion depending on your position in the company but, as I stated, you are well rewarded for it.
