      Straightforward job. Lock door, unlock door, conduct count of offenders supervised, etc. Nearly unlimited overtime

      Pros

      During my time as an officer at ISP the pros compared to other facilities is time off. Working 6 months out of the year allots for time to work life balance. Unlimited over time is also a good attribute. Very few mandatory over times. The Lt's and Captains always tried to make a way for staff to be relieved from duty on time.

      Cons

      Understaffing, there is a high turnover rate, so a lot of times there will be more pressure on staff.
