Intercoastal Group: A great place to work, but expect to be questioned about everything that you do.
Pros
somewhat better benefits than similar companies in the area. Vacation time is excellent for the industry. It's a place where I know I would be heard if I needed upper management's support. The CEO is very direct and makes his demands known in a no-nonsense kind of way. I like knowing where my team and building stand as a unit and what the clear expectations are from the highest management office. This company understands that money has to be spent to keep a building in shape and attractive to prospective clients, which makes selling the product much easier than in a lot of hotels.
Cons
paperwork heavy regional manager in our region does not match other regions in the company. MIcro-management. Conflicts can often pit one between upper management and regional management, ie: capital expenditures that are approved by upper management, but held back by regional management. Regional management does not appear to understand or respect the standards of the Hampton brand.
