Pros

Flexible Work Schedule - Allows for better work-life balance and the freedom to manage your own time effectively. Supportive Remote Culture – Strong communication, team collaboration tools, and regular check-ins help you feel connected despite the distance! Trust and Autonomy - Management trusts employees to get their work done without micromanaging, which boosts morale and productivity. Work-from-Anywhere Perks - Ability to work from different locations, which is great for travel or personal lifestyle choices.

Cons

Onboarding & Training - Initial onboarding and training lacks hands-on support or real-time guidance that you'd get in an office setting. Discontinued In-Person Company-Wide Gatherings – The decision to stop hosting the annual all-company in-person meetings was disappointing. These events offered a valuable opportunity to connect face-to-face with colleagues across different departments, strengthen relationships, and foster a deeper sense of connection to Ironistic’s mission and culture.

Pros

At Ironistic, I've been in a few positions where I've been able to learn, grow and make an impact both internally and externally. I feel that I'm in a supportive environment that truly does want the best for me, personally and professionally. That's a huge pro. Day to Day: As with any digital agency, there are ebbs and flows. Lately, as life is moving more towards pre-COVID normal, there have been a lot of ebbs. Clients are busy, which means we are busy. Days are full of client meetings, strategies, internal working sessions, and more— both on the website and marketing fronts. I feel strongly about a work/life balance, so even though the to-do list is long, as long as client expectations are set and relationships are strong, my Ironistic team trusts that I am managing expectations and getting the necessary work done. If I need help, I ask for it. Our team is incredible— a smart, hard working, understanding, and thoughtful group that is scattered around the country. Clients: They’re awesome. I’m not sure how some of these reviews say otherwise. The ideal scenario is to build a website for a client and then continue working with them on marketing engagements and growth for years to come. From nonprofits, to religious organizations, Fortune 500 companies, small law firms, and really niche industries—  every strategy is a new challenge and each client relationship is a growth opportunity. I love it. Growth: You want to grow? Talk to your boss. Let them know the path forward you'd like to take, what you'd like to do more in. They listen and they work with you to get you there— whether it's carving the path forward or shifting focus to give you more experience in an area you're interested in. For annual reviews, I provide thorough updates on what I've been working on, where I feel I could grow more, and where I feel that I've excelled. As I said before, I’ve been in a few different positions at Ironistic and have been able to grow into each position (promotion) because of the conversations I’ve had with our owners, directors, and HR. Environment: We spend the majority of time at work, so it's great if you like your coworkers. I find that with each project or marketing engagement, I'm able to work a little closer with someone and get to know them even more. Some of my closest coworkers are over 1k miles away and we talk every day. We're all over the country— most people work remotely and you get to see each other twice a year (or more) at our Company Meetings. At those meetings, it feels like a family gathering. Ironistic isn't just a place you "work" - it’s a place you don’t dread “going” to each day (even if it’s a walk across your house), because every day there’s the opportunity to learn, grow, and spend your time with some of the smartest and most talented people.

Cons

My "cons" aren't specific to Ironistic. As with any digital agency, clients want to meet with you and you have to manage expectations and be cognizant of your schedule and workload. For some, this leads to burnout, but for others, it's invigorating to always have a lot to do. You'll never be bored. Some days are long and tiring because of this, but that's part of agency life.
