The company itself is great. Small(er) Family owned, and make all of their employees feel like family as well. Both office work and on-site work are not too difficult, but still challenging. Pay is good, schedule is great for working parents, you are usually done with your job (photographer) when your kids get out of school.
Cons
Work is seasonal, so when there is work, it is BUSY! Then it seems to die down rather quick. Most staff will get laid off for the winter season, but come back in the spring. This is all told in the interview, so I don't think there has ever been an issue.
This is a family owned company which treats its employees like family. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Training is paid and very thorough so new employees are made to feel confident about their jobs. Seasonal employees are almost always invited back, so long as they performed well.
Cons
Work is very heavy during certain times of the year (fall school picture season) and gets very slow at other times of the year. Most of the staff gets laid off - but the company is up front and open about this in the hiring process, so employees are aware of their tentative timeline.
