So, I'm writing this post Covid 19 (2021). I worked here both pre-pandemic and came back late summer early fall of 2021. This industry was hit hard. I'm very pleased this place survived, but things are not as organized as they were before. The communication between departments is not as smooth, so things get missed or messed up. And new hires are not given the same level of quality I got when I started. So, whether you're a part-time employee (W-2) versus a contract employee (1099) changes how you are paid. Training is very different than when I was hired. When I was hired things were very organized, there were some training modules for things on the computer, for hands-on you would shadow someone or at minimum get some solid individual attention from the person managing your crew/group, time to practice, etc. The attempt is still made to give new hires individual attention... but it's all on site, it's all rushed. Mid level management is spread so thin they're trying to do too many things all at once. So... normally I'd say almost no cons but right now? We're still recovering.
