Pros

If you do happen to have an issue during your working hours, dispatch and the supervisor will not hesitate to assist you in any way possible. You do not have to worry about being respected by your superiors in this role, they will respect you and give you whatever you need to complete your school route. Whenever there is a issue they immediately handle the situation and will update you frequently while doing so ie. if they are on hold on a phone call they will call you on the radio to give you that update. Cons

split shift and low pay. School boards do not provide adequate money in the contract to pay the drivers at a decent rate of pay. Split shifts allow for occasional charters to fill some of your days with work but most days you will only work 5-6hours per day.
