First thing's first, the product itself is super exciting. I mean "reinventing teamwork for spreadsheets", right?
It's a fast moving early stage company, with a group of motivated people solving the problem of multiplayer spreadsheets, shaping up the solution together as a team, and also seeing their added value immediately reflected on the product.
Worth mentioning: a very proactive relocation assistance, open culture, transparent and friendly founders, really experienced team.
Cons
Not really Cons, but just like in every startup, there are some open questions and some unknowns for us to figure out as we build the product. If you're comfortable with that then you got nothing to worry about ;)
- Founders are super approachable, calm, and focused
- There's plenty of transparency about the company strategy
- There's an effort in bringing remote workers together with the office team
- Respectful for a healthy lifestyle balance
Cons
- If you want to stay in your corner and have no interaction, Layer is not for you. Everyone is given visibility on their work and takes turns in showcasing what they are doing.
- As with any startup, there is still some work to be done in organizing and promoting perks for both office and remote workers.
