Great company: people, perks, and environment
Pros
I've been working at MDDUS in Glasgow and overall, it's been a very positive experience. The office itself is brand new, modern, and impeccably maintained—such a refreshing change from previous roles where the workspaces felt neglected and uninviting. The environment here genuinely makes a difference to your day-to-day mood and productivity. Colleagues are friendly, collaborative, and there's a strong sense of mutual respect across teams. My manager is approachable and checks in regularly, which creates a supportive atmosphere where asking questions or raising concerns feels completely natural. The culture leans towards being professional and traditional, with a clear preference for working from the office. Personally, I enjoy this setup—it helps maintain structure and connection. MDDUS offers excellent benefits: full sick pay, generous parental leave, and a calendar full of company events that help build community. The kitchen is another standout—well-equipped and stocked with a Nespresso machine I’ve grown quite fond of! Despite a few logistical hiccups, MDDUS is a great place to work. The people, perks, and environment make it a strong choice, especially if you value a professional culture and a well-kept workspace.
Cons
Hot desk policy can be a challenge. On busy days, it’s hard to find a seat near your team, which undermines the collaborative spirit the company values. The desk booking system could definitely use improvement. Occasionally we’re asked to travel to the office London for projects. Ideally, you'd go with a colleague to make the experience more engaging, but in reality, most people travel solo. This can feel isolating, especially if you're new to the company.
