Pros

Having transitioned from the NHS, working at Manual as a TRT doctor has been a refreshing and fulfilling experience. The role offers significantly more autonomy, allowing me to work in a cutting-edge field that aligns with my interest in health span and preventative care. One of the most rewarding aspects is the ability to spend quality, unrushed time with patients, which enables me to make a meaningful impact on their health and well-being. The company fosters an innovative environment where clinicians are encouraged to think holistically and independently, which has been both empowering and professionally satisfying.

Cons

While the increased autonomy is a positive for many, it may be challenging for those who prefer a more structured or supervised environment. Unlike the NHS, where there's a defined progression path (e.g., ST1 to ST2), Manual does not follow a typical hierarchical structure. However, there are still ample opportunities for growth, with many colleagues moving into managerial or non-clinical roles over time.
