Lots to Learn with Room for Growth

Pros

Small company with less than 20 people means you'll be wearing a lot of hats. Depending on how you feel about pushing your own experiences and growth, this could be good (or bad). You'll definitely learn a lot and be involved with every department. They tend to put people in departments they are best at - so even if you get in for Manufacturing, you may be switched to Quality Control if you got the skills for it. Company is a skill-based promotion company so if you perform well, you'll get paid well. Once you pass the probation period (minimum 3 months), you can join their benefits package which includes health and dental. Standard holidays are off and PTO accumulates quick - I took a week off after a few months in, no problem. Company is pretty diverse. About 85% of employees are minorities, and about 50% are women. Recently, a lot more younger employees are joining the company - with a lot of them being straight out of college. A good stepping stone if anything since you have to follow FDA/ISO regulations - nice little add to the resume. They also really like birthdays here.

Cons

Rework of the management system means there no strong management right now. Sometimes you have a manager from a different department stepping in because your manager is busy. Which normally is fine, but it gets confusing when you get 2 different sets of directions and you're not sure who to follow anymore. Looks like a work in progress so hopefully it gets better. The company lacks in the evaluation of current employees. So unless you actively talk to your manager/the higher ups, it may be difficult for you to get noticed/get that promotion. The company also has a lot of different projects/clients. It can get confusing. Sometimes it feels like you're working with no end result because you don't know what anything is for.
