I love doing mission-oriented work that does good in the world. There's a decent chance that if you're here reading reviews about Medic on Glassdoor you are also interested in this kind of mission-oriented work. Work done here is really that. It's always fun to build software and see anyone use it, but the impact of our work is the most rewarding I've experienced. The low-resource setting makes it hard, but that is really just the extra challenge and part of what makes the work enjoyable. I can finish an exhausting week but always know it was worth it. Real attention is paid to this and people actually care about each other. We're a very distributed team so depending on where you live you might go a while before seeing people in person. Effort is put into making sure people still know each other and teammates are always ready to help each other out.
