      Pros

      Great atmosphere and lovely people working there. Plus access to lots of fruits grown on site.

      Cons

      For me it was fully in person working, however, I believe there is room for this to be flexible.

      Pros

      The East Malling had a really lovely bunch of people and there was some very supportive management with some real stand-out supervisors who went out of their way to mentor and support their teams. The hours could be fairly flexible if you needed them to be (although less so during the peak months as you would expect from a horticultural institute!). The low salary was also majorly offset by it being possible to live very cheaply.

      Cons

      The technical team managers were all absolutely lovely, but some were distant and unengaged, which was frustrating for young and enthusiastic new starters. Our team's offices were mostly divided according to role, rather than according to team too, which was really unhelpful for morale at times.
