Pros

The company is small enough to recognize hard workers and talented people and elevate them into positions which fit a their abilities. Great place to start and grow. Family atmosphere, very loyal leadership.

Cons

Can be demanding, in-office culture. If you are looking for remote work, this isn't the place for you.

Pros

NewMark Merrill lives out its mission statement every day, focusing on the development and growth of its merchants, communities, and team members. The company truly cares about the merchants who make up their shopping centers and supports them as they try to achieve their American Dream of owning and managing their business. NMC supports the communities where their shopping centers are located by bringing in the best merchant mix to serve the people in that area, they donate money to local community groups, and host free community events to bring people together. Team members are encouraged to learn and grow and there are many team building and team bonding events held during the year, in and out of the office.

Cons

Expectations are high and team members are expected to work hard and perform at a high level. The onboarding process was not focused on before but great strides have been made recently to set team members up for success from the beginning and give them every resource to be successful. Communication to the entire team, especially from top level members, used to be difficult but that has been a bright spot since Covid that now the company meets weekly and hears directly from the CEO as well as other members of the team and individual teams, even when across multiples states, meet weekly or bi-weekly to exchange ideas and learn from each other.
