Good engineering staff coordinated well with manufacturing staff in a cohesive stable fashion which helped cut short mistakes and promoted a lean manufacturing environment. All management were caring good people who dug in and helped on the floor when needed.
Cons
There were no cons, except for the fact that Omega did not employ as many workers in the winter season.
It has a very open environment. Employees are free to talk to each other in any department up to and including the CEO. Everyone is willing to listen to each other's ideas about ways to improve operations and sales. For someone early in their career, it's a great place to learn new things and solve problems.
Cons
Dwindling market share caused uncertainty about the future. Lack of clear mandates from management. Kind of a lazes-faire attitude about improvement projects with little focus on results. The company has gone through some staff changes, so there isn't a huge depth of knowledge of the products among many personnel.
