PAY. If the company wants to keep good Officers they need to pay better.
POLITICS. Too many managers, drama, ego trippers, and lack of communication.
TRAINING. Zero training, I mean almost Zero. There's only one competent (established) trainer in the whole of Maryland. Other officers who could train can't of don't. Consider yourself blessed if you get the opportunity to be trained. Needs more trainers.
EQUIPMENT. Officers need to proper tools to succeed. In Maryland, I was not offered a body camera or taser, not even for rental. You have to buy pretty much 100% of your equipment. And that means well over a THOUSAND or two dollars if you want to have all the proper equipment for armed security.
Not enough experienced officers to cover any shift for call outs and vacations. Needs more staff.
