Pros

Fantastic people are the number one reason to work for Powered. Fellow employees are intelligent, quick-witted, and fun. The whole concept of consumer education lets you believe that what you're doing is providing a necessary evil (marketing) in a way that's genuinely helpful to people, rather than annoying and bothersome. It's a very satisfying place in which to see projects come to fruition on a regular basis - no lingering on forever before you accomplish something. The team structures are strong and cohesive, and most people are friends both in and out of work, and you feel that you can trust them to have your back.

Cons

The pay scale is 10% below (at LEAST) market rate. This is done purposefully, making Powered very discouraging in this regard. No matter how hard you work, or how far you advance, you know you're going to be systematically devalued compared to others doing what you do, and perhaps not even doing it as well. In addition, the benefits are less than stellar - lack of domestic partner benefits, no matching 401k, no bonus structure, not even a holiday gift to show how much executive level membership appreciates the blood, sweat and tears. We've been told 'the holiday party is your Christmas bonus'.
