Pros

Genuinely family oriented. Supportive management. They want you to learn and grow even if that means you end up leaving. Some of the best people I've worked with.

Cons

Being a relatively small company (~65 employees as of 2025) there's sometimes a level of naivety or lack of industry/workplace standard practices.

Pros

The people are the best part of Puget. Jon is a top-tier President/CEO when it comes to how to take care of the people.

Cons

I was not given enough time to let my team grow into their potential.

Pros

I have worked for Puget for about four years now and I love it here. The culture and values here are incomparable, the people are capable and genuine, and there are so many perks! 1) Events - There are frequent company event on and offsite that allow us to get to know one another and our families (because most of the time they're invited too). We've done game nights, Mariners and Raniers games, rented out a whole movie theatre, snow tubing, picnics, Halloween spirit weeks, Easter egg hunts, and we have a car meet coming up! 2) Free food! - There are free snacks and beverages, as well as a coffee machine, available everyday. And at least once a week you'll stumble upon goodies in the breakroom - Costco pizza, donuts, or some other treat. We are extremely food motivated here! 3) The vibes - The atmosphere is very chill and friendly - I won't say there's never drama but it's rare. And when it does happen it's a quick tiff which is quickly resolved. No one is catty or overly petty. We genuinely enjoy each others company and we willingly spend a lot of time together. The main hobbies around here are cars, movies/tv, games (of all kind- board games, PC gaming obviously, console, and card games), plants, food, and art! But we are all dabblers in many other hobbies. 4) Management - The management team is wonderful - there are a lot of different personalities from different backgrounds and that creates a well rounded perspective for process changes. The president, Jon Bach, is the kindest man I've ever met. He is so invested in the employee experience it really warms my heart. And the People and Culture (HR) manager is amazing and really strives for consistency and fairness in our policies and procedures and she holds management to a high standard and holds them accountable if they don't meet expectations. The operations manager is direct and candid at all times - which I like, because you always know where he stands and what he is expecting from you. Those three in combination are really the bread and butter for how smooth things run around here, it is such a perfect balance. 5) Diversity (for context I am a black woman)- This isn't perfect, but the company is constantly striving to make this better. Not a lot of women work here but way more than the average you see in the Tech industry. There is a significant amount of people of color, people from the LGBTQ+ community, and veterans. Though that diversity could be spread out more within the company. 6) Pay - I came to Puget from a teaching job that required me to have extensive additional trainings and education and they paid me $16 an hour. I have more than doubled my pay since coming here and most positions (mine included) do not require a degree. The pay is completive to say the least.

Cons

1) In my opinion, the commute to Auburn sucks. Whether you're coming from Seattle or Tacoma or in my case Puyallup. 2) Working in a warehouse (which there are some positions here that do not) can suck when it's too hot or too cold. 3) Parking is becoming a pain - but there are plans to improve this.
